Terms of Use
Last updated: 3 October 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to the NEAARA platform, operated by Maawa SOUARE, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel, EI) trading as SOU (SIREN 818 142 952).
1. Purpose
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) set out the rules for using NEAARA, a professional platform that lets its users discover professionals, grow their network, build connections and discover professional opportunities.
By creating an account or using NEAARA, the user acknowledges having read these Terms and agrees to comply with them.
NEAARA is intended for professional use.
2. Access to NEAARA
Using NEAARA requires creating an account.
NEAARA is reserved for people aged at least 18.
Users must provide accurate, up-to-date and truthful information when signing up and while using the service.
Users are responsible for keeping their sign-in credentials confidential and for any activity carried out from their account.
An account is personal and must not be lent, sold, transferred or used by another person.
Creating an account requires verifying a phone number with a code sent by SMS. This number is used to secure the account and is not shown on the profile.
3. User profile
Each user can create and complete a professional profile including, depending on the features available:
- first and last name;
- photo;
- job;
- company;
- skills;
- biography;
- experience;
- education;
- languages;
- professional preferences;
- “Available for” information;
- availability;
- other information needed for NEAARA’s features.
Users remain responsible for the accuracy of the information they publish.
It is up to them to update any information that has become outdated.
4. Professional use
NEAARA is a platform for professional relationships and opportunities.
Users agree to use the platform for professional purposes and not to divert NEAARA’s features for purposes incompatible with that aim.
Exchanges may concern, in particular:
- professional development;
- entrepreneurship;
- recruitment;
- investment;
- consulting;
- mentoring;
- partnerships;
- professional projects;
- business opportunities.
5. Map and proximity
NEAARA may offer a map for discovering users and opportunities nearby.
When the user allows access to their location, it may be used to run the proximity features.
Depending on the features available, users can control their visibility on the map.
While the app is open and the user allows it, NEAARA may use Bluetooth to recognise users at very short range. The phone then broadcasts a regularly renewed temporary code that does not contain the user’s identity. Matching is performed by NEAARA’s servers, in line with visibility and blocking rules.
The position shown on the map is not necessarily a precise address and must not be used to try to physically locate a person without their consent.
Using the map gives no user any right to contact, follow or physically approach another person against their will.
6. Connections and networking
NEAARA lets users build professional connections and interact with other members.
Users must respect the choices and limits expressed by other users.
In particular, it is forbidden to use the networking features to:
- send repeated and unwanted solicitations;
- harass a user;
- get around a block;
- pursue a user who has clearly declined contact;
- collect information about other members on a large scale;
- use the platform’s data for purposes unrelated to the normal operation of the service.
7. “Available for”
The “Available for” feature lets users indicate the types of connections, projects or professional opportunities they may wish to develop.
This information must remain truthful and reflect the user’s real intentions.
Saying you are “available for” a category does not create any obligation to reply to a request or accept a proposal.
8. Opportunities and applications
NEAARA may let users discover or publish certain professional opportunities and apply to them.
NEAARA does not guarantee:
- getting a job;
- concluding a partnership;
- making an investment;
- the success of a transaction;
- the accuracy of offers published by users.
Any contractual or commercial relationships between users are independent of NEAARA, unless NEAARA expressly acts as a party or service provider in a specific transaction.
9. VIP status
NEAARA may offer a process allowing certain users to request or obtain VIP status.
VIP status may be subject to a verification or validation procedure by NEAARA.
Submitting a request does not guarantee obtaining VIP status.
NEAARA may request any additional information needed for verification.
VIP status may be withdrawn when it is no longer justified or in the event of a breach of these Terms.
The identity of VIP profiles (name, photo, job, company) is reserved for Privilège and Elite subscribers, and for users already connected with the profile concerned. Temporary passes do not give access to the identity of VIP profiles.
Connection requests sent to VIP profiles are limited depending on the user’s plan. Every request sent is counted, even if it is later cancelled or declined.
A VIP user can choose which profiles they see on the map. This choice does not prevent them from receiving connection requests.
10. Subscriptions and paid offers
NEAARA may offer different access plans, including:
- Free;
- Premium;
- Privilège;
- Elite;
- temporary passes or other offers.
The features included in each plan are those stated at the time of purchase.
The Free plan has usage limits, including a number of connection requests and expressions of interest per calendar month, renewed on the first day of each month. Unused allowances do not carry over.
Connection requests sent to VIP profiles are also limited depending on the plan, under the conditions shown in the app at the time of purchase.
Recruiter access is an offer for companies, separate from personal plans.
NEAARA may change the features offered, subject to the rules applicable to subscriptions already purchased.
11. Payments
Depending on the device used, payments are processed by Apple’s App Store (in-app purchases from the iPhone app), by Google Play, or by an external payment provider, in particular Stripe. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are also subject to those platforms’ terms.
NEAARA does not store full payment card details in its own application database.
Users must provide valid payment information when it is required to purchase a paid offer.
Payment terms and conditions may also be subject to the payment provider’s terms.
12. Renewal and cancellation of subscriptions
Where the purchased offer includes automatic renewal, renewal takes place under the conditions stated at the time of purchase.
Users can manage or cancel their subscription in the ways offered by NEAARA and/or the payment provider. For a subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play, management and cancellation are done from the account settings of the relevant platform; cancellation must take place at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid renewal.
Temporary passes (24 hours) are one-time purchases, with no automatic renewal, whose duration starts when the purchase is confirmed.
Cancelling a subscription does not necessarily mean the user account is deleted immediately.
Deleting the account and cancelling a subscription are two separate operations.
13. Content published by users
Users remain responsible for the content, information, photographs and other material they publish on NEAARA.
Users guarantee that they hold the rights needed to publish this content.
They must not publish content that is:
- illegal;
- fraudulent;
- misleading;
- defamatory;
- threatening;
- discriminatory;
- hateful;
- sexually explicit;
- infringing the rights of others;
- containing personal information about another person without the right or permission to do so where required.
14. Photo and identity
Users must use a photo and information that truthfully represent their identity when a photo or identity is required by the features concerned.
It is forbidden to:
- use another person’s photo as if it were your own;
- impersonate someone;
- create a fake profile;
- knowingly provide a false identity;
- use information intended to mislead other users.
Depending on the plan of the user viewing a profile and the relationship between the two users, the identity (first name, last name, photo) may be hidden. A heavily reduced and blurred version of the photo may then be shown, without allowing the person to be recognised.
15. Prohibited behaviour
It is strictly forbidden to use NEAARA to:
- harass or intimidate a person;
- put repeated pressure on a user;
- discriminate against a person;
- threaten a person;
- impersonate someone;
- organise fraud;
- spread false information in order to mislead;
- get around security measures;
- access another user’s account;
- try to obtain information the user is not entitled to;
- scrape or massively automate data collection;
- introduce malicious software;
- disrupt the platform’s operation;
- use NEAARA for illegal purposes.
16. Harassment and respect for users
NEAARA aims to maintain a respectful professional environment.
A user may report another member in particular when they consider that the member:
- is harassing them;
- makes discriminatory remarks;
- is impersonating someone;
- spreads false information;
- uses the platform for fraudulent purposes;
- behaves in a way that breaches these Terms.
NEAARA may review reports and take the measures it considers appropriate.
17. Blocking and reporting
Blocking features make it possible to limit interactions with certain users.
A user who has been blocked must not try to get around the block using another account or by any other means.
Reports may be reviewed in order to protect the safety and integrity of the community.
NEAARA undertakes to review reports within 24 hours and to remove any content that breaches these Terms. The user responsible for that content may be suspended or excluded from the platform.
NEAARA applies zero tolerance to objectionable content and abusive behaviour.
18. Moderation and measures against accounts
In the event of a breach of these Terms, NEAARA may, in particular:
- warn the user;
- restrict certain features;
- temporarily suspend the account;
- remove certain content;
- withdraw a status or benefit;
- suspend the paid features concerned where permitted;
- permanently delete the account.
The severity of the measure may depend in particular on the nature, repetition and seriousness of the behaviour concerned.
In the case of particularly serious behaviour, the account may be deleted without prior warning where necessary.
19. Account deletion by the user
Users can request the deletion of their account using the features provided for this purpose.
Deleting the account results in the deletion of data that no longer needs to be kept, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Some information may however be kept where required by law or where necessary to defend the rights of NEAARA or third parties.
Deleting the account does not necessarily mean the immediate erasure of all data kept by external providers under their own obligations.
20. Intellectual property
NEAARA, its name, brand, graphic elements, interface, software, texts, features and the elements that make up the service are protected by applicable intellectual property rules.
Unless expressly authorised, users may not, in particular:
- copy;
- reproduce;
- modify;
- distribute;
- resell;
- exploit commercially;
- decompile or attempt to reproduce
all or part of the service or its protected elements.
Users retain their rights over the content they publish, subject to the rights granted to NEAARA that are necessary to operate the service.
21. Licence granted to NEAARA
When users publish content on NEAARA, they grant NEAARA the rights strictly necessary to host, store, technically reproduce and display that content as part of the platform’s operation.
This permission is limited to the purposes necessary for the service and does not transfer ownership of the content to NEAARA.
22. Third-party services
Some NEAARA features rely on services provided by third parties.
This may concern, in particular:
- authentication;
- hosting;
- payments;
- sending emails;
- notifications;
- mapping services;
- certain services related to meetings or calls.
Use of these services may be subject to the terms and privacy policies of their providers.
Information about the processing of personal data is set out in NEAARA’s Privacy Policy.
23. Service availability
NEAARA uses reasonable means to ensure the platform’s availability and proper operation.
However, the service may be temporarily unavailable, in particular because of:
- maintenance operations;
- updates;
- technical problems;
- network failures;
- problems affecting third-party services;
- circumstances beyond NEAARA’s control.
NEAARA does not guarantee permanent or uninterrupted availability of the service.
24. Changes to NEAARA
NEAARA may develop, modify, add or remove certain features to improve the service, strengthen its security or respond to technical or regulatory changes.
Substantial changes likely to affect users will be communicated where required.
25. Limitation of liability
NEAARA provides a platform designed to facilitate professional connections and opportunities.
NEAARA is not responsible for:
- information published by users;
- users’ behaviour outside the platform;
- agreements concluded between users;
- commercial, professional or financial decisions made on the basis of information found on the platform;
- the truthfulness of all information published by members;
- interruptions caused by third-party services or circumstances beyond its control.
Users remain responsible for their own decisions and must carry out the necessary checks before any professional, commercial or financial transaction.
26. Relationships between users
NEAARA facilitates introductions but does not become a party to the contractual, commercial or professional relationships that may be established between users, unless expressly stated otherwise.
Users are responsible for their exchanges, commitments and transactions.
In particular, it is up to them to check the identity, qualifications, information and commitments of the people they deal with when such checks are necessary.
27. Account security
Users must take the necessary measures to keep their account secure.
In the event of suspected unauthorised access, loss of control of the account or fraudulent use, users must contact NEAARA as soon as possible.
NEAARA may take the necessary measures to protect the account and the platform.
28. Personal data protection
NEAARA processes certain personal data in order to provide its services.
How this data is collected, used, kept and protected is set out in NEAARA’s Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy forms an integral part of the information provided to users about the processing of their personal data.
29. Changes to the Terms
NEAARA may change these Terms in order to take into account, in particular:
- changes to the platform;
- new features;
- technical changes;
- regulatory changes;
- changes to the services offered.
The date of the last update appears at the top of the document.
Where required by law, users will be informed of significant changes and will have the rights provided by law.
30. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law, subject to any mandatory provisions applicable to the user.
In the event of a dispute, the parties are encouraged to seek an amicable solution before any legal proceedings.
The rules on jurisdiction are those set out by applicable law.
